When it is blue it is enabled and has power. I think when the key is red, the wifi is disabled but still has power. This makes me think it is off without any power.
The power light to the wireless radio, key F12 is not lit. When the computer goes to sleep, the only lights that are on are the power switch and a power light on the side. I started and ended with the same version v15.1.1.1. I need to wait the same as with the red x. Other times instead of a red x I will something that is yellow. If I wait for 10 seconds or sometimes longer the connection will connect again (blue circle over signal strength at first then HP connection popup that says wifi enabled. A blue circle appears over the signal strength indicator. In the lower right hand corner the HP connection manager popup says wifi disabled. I press the space bar and the f12 key lights up blue, changes to red for a very quick moment then changes to blue. I also have the power options set to HP Recommended which sets the Wireless Adapter Settings -> Power Saving Mode -> Plugged In -> Maximum Performance.ĭuring sleep mode the only active light is the power button which flashes.
I have the Power Management checkbox "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" cleared in the N 1030 driver settings. My Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 wifi connection is disconnected after I enter and resume from sleep mode.
